FAQs

No. That is the core of our concept. You keep your existing CAD software, your
library, your scan bodies and your holder in the milling machine – everything stays as it is. You
simply replace the physical titanium base. Nothing else changes.

Yes, that is exactly what our products are made for. The OrangeCAD MED titanium base reproduces the same
geometric dimensions as the corresponding component in your existing
library. What you design digitally fits onto our component. You design as usual,
mill as usual and bond the secondary cap onto our titanium base.

Yes. OrangeCAD MED is compatible with all common digital laboratory workflows, regardless of
whether you work with exocad, 3Shape or another CAD solution. The compatibility results
from the geometric dimensions of the titanium base – not from the software. Your workflow
determines the base. We supply it with a precise fit.

No. Our pre-mill blanks fit the holders you already use – for example Medentika- or Amann-Girrbach-compatible holders. No new investment, no retooling, no training effort.

No. You continue to use your existing library – whether from Medentika, DESS or another provider. OrangeCAD MED does not provide a library of its own because you do not need a new one. Your digital infrastructure is retained in full.

A holder positions the component via defined references: the end face determines the height, the lateral surface provides the centring, the anti-rotation geometry defines the rotational position. Together, these references define the exact spatial position of the component in the milling machine.

OrangeCAD MED components are designed and manufactured in such a way that they precisely meet the relevant reference geometries of existing systems – including the functional mating surfaces and the interfaces required for fixation. If these references match within the required tolerances, the component is positioned in the existing holder in exactly the same way as the component used to date. The workflow remains unchanged – only the component is replaced.

That depends on your previous supplier and purchase price. As a guide: our titanium bases start at 29,90 €. Depending on your previous purchase price, this corresponds to a saving of up to 50 % — with the same workflow and without additional investment. Talk to us — we will gladly work out the exact figures for you.

No. Because you neither have to purchase new holders nor install new libraries nor adapt your workflow, no additional introduction costs arise. The economic advantage takes effect from the very first use – in full and immediately.

Yes. Even in a smaller laboratory the savings add up quickly. Since no conversion effort is involved, it is possible to start with a single case. You test under real conditions – without risk and without upfront costs.

All OrangeCAD MED titanium bases and Pre-Mill-Blanks are manufactured from a titanium alloy – the high-quality standard material of implant prosthetics. This titanium alloy is characterised by high strength, biocompatibility and corrosion resistance.

OrangeCAD MED works with a manufacturing tolerance of less than 20 µm. This ensures precise fit accuracy at the implant–abutment interface, minimises micromovements and provides reproducible, stable results in everyday laboratory work.

All OrangeCAD MED components are manufactured in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg. For us, Made in Germany is not a marketing promise but the basis of our quality assurance – from material selection through manufacturing to final inspection.

Yes, almost all of them. All products meet the general safety and performance requirements of the European Medical Device Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR), whether Class 1, Class 2a or Class 2b. They therefore meet all regulatory requirements for use in clinical implant prosthetics. Products that are not medical devices can be recognised by the fact that they do not bear a CE symbol on the label.

Under European medical device law, each manufacturer is liable for the product it places on the market. This means: for OrangeCAD MED components, OrangeCAD MED bears the product responsibility – regardless of which implant system they are used with. We also offer a lifetime warranty on our components.

Yes. As an approved medical device, the OrangeCAD MED titanium base may be combined with compatible implant systems. The liability logic follows European medical device law: each manufacturer is responsible for its own component. Implant manufacturers cannot prohibit this combination. The regulatory compatibility can be looked up in the current instructions for use.

As a rule within 24 hours. You do not have to build up stock or order components in advance. We deliver case-related and quickly – so that your production process does not have to wait.

OrangeCAD MED offers compatible components for all market-relevant implant systems, including Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Camlog and others. The current range comprises titanium bases, MCF titanium bases, pre-mill blanks, healing abutments, laboratory analogs, impression posts, multi-unit abutments and Heli-Loc components.

You can contact us at any time – by telephone, by e-mail or via the contact form on this website. We recommend starting with a single case: test OrangeCAD MED under your real laboratory conditions, without any upfront investment and without obligation.
