Some ideas take 25 years.
OrangeCAD was one of them.
Born out of the market. Developed for everyday work.
“Anyone who has known a market from the inside for 25 years eventually stops selling products — and starts solving problems.”
Digital implant prosthetics is more precise and more efficient today than ever before. At the same time, over the years many laboratories have grown into ever more complex systems – with new libraries, manufacturer-specific interfaces and additional dependencies. What is often lost in the process: flexibility.
Because in many cases, more economical alternatives still mean new processes, new components or additional changes to the workflow.

The idea was not to develop a new workflow, but to make existing digital processes more economical. That is why OrangeCAD develops implant prosthetics components that fit into existing CAD/CAM workflows — without new libraries, without new holders, without a change of workflow.
The workflow stays. The costs go down.
Manufactured in Baden-Württemberg. Low manufacturing tolerances, reproducible fit – batch after batch.

Our history
OrangeCAD MED was founded in Karlsruhe in December 2021 – not as a start-up without market knowledge, but as the consistent further development of more than 25 years of experience in digital implant prosthetics. The goal was clear from the outset: workflow-compatible components for dental laboratories worldwide – manufactured in Germany, regulatorily safeguarded and at fair prices.
Today, OrangeCAD MED sells its products in several countries – with a focus on Europe, the USA and the Middle East. The portfolio is lean and consistently aligned: everything a dental laboratory needs for digital implant prosthetics, from a single source, compatible with all common systems. What does not change: the aim that every component fits into existing workflows – without conversion, without additional risk.

Dr. Andreas Schütt
Dr. Andreas Schütt is the founder and CEO of OrangeCAD MED. He has been active in digital implant prosthetics for more than 25 years – as an entrepreneur, sales professional and market expert. He has developed product lines, built up international sales structures and supported dental laboratories in numerous countries in setting up digital CAD/CAM workflows.
Over many years he has accompanied the development of digital workflows in dental laboratories – and has experienced how difficult more economical alternatives often become as soon as existing processes have to be adapted. It was precisely from this experience that the approach behind OrangeCAD MED emerged: workflow-compatible components that fit into existing CAD/CAM processes without creating additional complexity.
What drives him is a simple conviction: dental laboratories do not need new systems. They need solutions that fit into existing processes – and make them more economical.
OrangeCAD MED is the consequence of this experience.
Dr. Andreas Schütt lives and works in Karlsruhe and stands for direct exchange with dental technicians, laboratory owners and industry colleagues worldwide.

Dr. Markus Munz
Dr. Markus Munz is CTO of OrangeCAD MED and drives forward the company’s technical development. As a mechanical engineer with a doctorate, he combines scientific expertise with many years of experience in production, manufacturing technology and corporate management.
Before OrangeCAD MED he worked, among other positions, as Head of Toolmaking at fischerwerke, headed manufacturing technology and production at the Hochschule Karlsruhe (Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences) and was Managing Director and CTO of Heliocos GmbH. Over many years he has worked on the development of precise manufacturing processes and the implementation of technical innovations.
At OrangeCAD MED, he develops products and manufacturing processes together with his team that combine the highest precision with practical usability in everyday laboratory work. His aim is to develop components that not only work on paper but can be used reproducibly, reliably and economically.
Dr. Markus Munz lives and works in Karlsruhe and shapes the further technical development of OrangeCAD MED with a clear focus on quality, precision and practical suitability.
